Since it’s the day after Christmas, we figured now would be a good time to talk about the pennies you may have left in your wallet.
If you’ve been following Jeeps newest creation, the Wrangler 4xe, with its 2.0-liter turbo four with a high-voltage, liquid-cooled motor generator, (that replaces the conventional alternator), and the 400-volt, 17-kWh, 96-cell lithium-ion, nickel manganese cobalt battery pack, with output of 375 hp and 470 lb.-ft. of torque, we hope have a few pennies left over from the Holidays.
There will be two models out of the gate. The 2021 Wrangler Sahara 4xe will have a $47,995 base sticker, while the Rubicon will start at $51,695. Both prices are before the available $7,500 federal tax credit (prices exclude destination). For comparison, the standard Sahara starts at around $40,000 and a Rubicon about $42,000.
