What or rather who is Armorlite? Well, here is an excerpt from Armorlite directly:

The Next Wave in Vehicle Flooring

Armorlite goes where throw‑in mats can’t, providing an entirely new level of durability, style and performance in a complete replacement flooring system. Initially offered for Jeep® Wrangler JK models, Armorlite is planning to expand into additional Jeep Wrangler models, as well as other vehicles.

Its unique performance and durability properties make it an ideal fit for the pickup truck, heavy truck, bus, rideshare and mass mobility industries.

Armorlite was developed and built by Auria (www.auriasolutions.com), leading global supplier of automotive acoustics and fiber-based systems. Formed in 2017, Auria is built on a 100-year transportation industry heritage.

While Auria has produced more than three million Jeep® Wrangler factory floors, Armorlite marks Auria’s first foray into the direct-to-consumer automotive aftermarket.

Auria’s global product line includes highly engineered automotive acoustics solutions for interior noise reduction, fiber-based and compression-molded flooring products and other fiber-based interior products, including package trays, trunk trim and wheel arch liners.

Auria operates 26 manufacturing and 10 commercial, engineering and testing and tooling facilities in 10 countries and has nearly 5,000 employees worldwide.

Armorlite is designed and manufactured in North Carolina. The development team worked tirelessly and aggressively for the past two years to find the right mix of style, durability and performance, all while ensuring that it was the right product to meet the needs of the off-road enthusiast.

At the outset, we partnered with Jeep Jamboree USA to ensure we ingrained ourselves with the off-road community and to gain the best product feedback possible. They put us on trails in iconic places like Rubicon, Moab, Uhwarrie, the Cumberlands and Big Horn Mountains. We worked with several guides and wheelers to put Armorlite pre-production floors in their vehicles for testing. We took that feedback and are able to bring you what we believe is the best complete replacement flooring system available today.

Literally, the carpet comes out, Armorlite goes in, providing an entirely new level of durability, style and performance in a complete replacement flooring system for Jeep® Wrangler TJ, LJ, JK, JL and Gladiator JT models.

Those of you that know me, know that I like to keep my things nice…interior as well as exterior, and my 2004 Jeep LJ, Golden Spike, is one of my favorite builds to date. Recently I even had the interior Line-X’d in a color matched yellow as I tried to “protect” the interior. With the Line-X, all that it did was hold in the heat in the floorboards and create a sound “echo chamber”, which while it did protect the bare metal, it really wasn’t what I was looking for. So around my birthday time, my girlfriend surprised me with a giant box from Armorlite! We had installed it in her JK and I instantly knew that my LJ wanted this! NEEDED THIS! But at the time, they did not yet have an LJ kit…until now! While the install can be quite extensive, it is so worth taking the time and doing it right! I’m back in love with driving the LJ and the interior is back to being cool, quiet and easy to clean!

The front sections are very straightforward to install. Even though I didn’t want to really take everything out, it did make the install much easier. For the rear bed install, I had already removed the rear seat a long time ago, as I wanted the storage area for “things”. I did have an ARB sliding drawer that I needed to deal with in order to install the cargo mat section, but once it was out and a couple of new holes were made in the Armorlite, it was a piece of cake and I actually think it looks better! In fact I look forward to when they release the rear inside fender pieces! Things no longer slide all over and the sound deadening feature is AMAZING!

All in all I am super pleased with the flooring! It was exactly what I was looking and hoping for! Thank you Armorlite! And my girlfriend of course 🙂

Specializing in marketing, visibility, relationship and brand building, and acting as MetalCloak's field marketing representative, I have travelled across the country (quite a few times!) using Metalcloak’s CTI (Corner Travel Index) to educate the off road enthusiast. I have also worked with Jeep Jamboree USA as event staff, to provide additional value and education to its participants. I've been fortunate enough to work with both international as well as domestic media; have attended most of the off-road events across our country; and have driven a wide variety of vehicles. I'm a certified PADI scuba instructor and have a BS in Computer Science.
