It seems that out of all the events that take place throughout the year, Easter Jeep Safari (EJS) in Moab, Utah has become the kickoff event of the season. The mad dash for folks that live in the cooler states to rush to finish their projects in time for Safari has become commonplace. EJS has also become the place to “shakedown” those projects before the warmer summer months arrive. EJS2015 57

Manufacturers arrive in Moab in full force, bringing every rig they can and all sorts of energy and enthusiasm to show off their newest ideas and products. I’ve been attending this annual event for almost 20 years and Warn Industries, founded in 1948, has continued to provide a great social sharing trail ride for at least that long. ARB, famous for their air actuated lockers, stepped up as the co-host this year, displaying their newest products that included a cool new shock from Old Man Emu…details coming soon! The group crawled their way up Moab Rim, one of the closest trails to downtown Moab and just a short 12 miles long, but one of the most scenic views over Moab that the area has to offer.

After 23 years of corporate life, I decided to pursue my passions in the off road industry. Specializing in marketing, visibility, relationship and brand building, and acting as MetalCloak's field marketing representative, I have travelled across the country (quite a few times!) using Metalcloak’s CTI (Corner Travel Index) to educate the off road enthusiast. I have also worked with Jeep Jamboree USA as event staff, to provide additional value and education to its participants. I've been fortunate enough to work with both international as well as domestic media; have attended most of the off-road events across our country; and have driven a wide variety of vehicles. I'm a certified PADI scuba instructor and have a BS in Computer Science.
