A great article in Outside Magazine said it well:

“You can still go outside and recreate, Caplan said—but go outside with your dog. Don’t be hanging around with other people. “Again, we’re talking about a month. It’s not like the cruelest confinement ever imposed on a human being,” …”

As things begin to re-open, we are all asking the same question…where can we go? Well, the answer is actually an easy one…we can go anywhere…as long as we are alone, don’t require or use any resources, don’t need to get fuel, buy food at a store, or potentially need or involve medical response. Um, say what?

Texas is re-opening its parks and Florida is reopening a couple beaches…But where do we find the honest and real information? Well, not from our typical media outlets! It’s best to search out the specific place you are curious about and not visit the “media sites” at all. Most of the places have reputable and true information on their websites.

As we all try and keep our social distance from each other, we have to keep in mind that we are helping in some small way. Think about this…the hospital in Moab, Utah has 17 beds. As much as we ALL love wheeling and seeing each other during Easter Jeep Safari each year, think about the thousands of folks that are there for the week or longer…suddenly those 17 beds don’t seem like very many!  We will get back to our regular lives. We will recover from this!

After 23 years of corporate life, I decided to pursue my passions in the off road industry. Specializing in marketing, visibility, relationship and brand building, and acting as MetalCloak's field marketing representative, I have travelled across the country (quite a few times!) using Metalcloak’s CTI (Corner Travel Index) to educate the off road enthusiast. I have also worked with Jeep Jamboree USA as event staff, to provide additional value and education to its participants. I've been fortunate enough to work with both international as well as domestic media; have attended most of the off-road events across our country; and have driven a wide variety of vehicles. I'm a certified PADI scuba instructor and have a BS in Computer Science.
