Hey Back Door? W.E. Rock’s got this…thanks….

Wednesday, February 12, 2020 – Schedule Announcement

We are so excited to be getting the W.E. Rock season started.  It’s always a good time when we can be with our friends and family outdoors.  We’d love for you to join us, either as a spectator for the best live-action motorsports available or as a competitor.  All are welcome.
This is the 20th Anniversary year of W.E. Rock, the first event was held in Amador County, California in November 2001.  We are thrilled to still be offering the same quality entertainment.  The advances and technology in the competition rigs have changed, but the same personal, family entertainment has remained.  We love that!
Join us as we criss-cross the country at your favorite venue for regular season action. Links to tickets and registration are all live on the website.  www.werocklive.com

Message from Big Rich Klein, CEO/President of WE Rock Events

The 2020 Season is bringing in many of the biggest and best names in rockcrawling.  The proven talent, I dare say, the best in the world.  You’ll be seeing drivers like Jesse Haines, Cody Waggoner, Craig Allen – all champion rockcrawlers.  But, what I love most is the grassroots drivers, the ones that compete in the Sportsman classes.  Some often, some just one time.  These are the drivers who bring their trail rigs out to see how they stack up on a competitive course.  We love the professionals, but the heart of the sportsman is what drives the event.

What is W.E. ROCK?
The sport of World Extreme Rock Crawling or W.E. ROCK as it is known to our fans is all about challenging driver and machine. Competitors build amazing vehicles to drive over the most extreme obstacles our world-renowned course designer can dream up. You will see vehicles perform maneuvers you never thought possible. Conquering large boulders, steep climbs, rock ledges, and massive drops, all while avoiding strategically placed cones. Depending on the class the competitors choose to compete in their vehicle must follow some basic build rules and safety requirements.
The rules are designed to keep each class fair while allowing the builder freedom to engineer the most competitive vehicle they can. Once on the course, the driver and spotter have 10 minutes to navigate 3-4 gates (set of cones) without hitting any cones and as few backups as possible. Each cone hit or backup they take adds points to their score and the team with the lowest score wins. The courses are designed to provide the most action for the spectators throughout the weekend and force drivers to push what they have built to the limits.

After 23 years of corporate life, I decided to pursue my passions in the off road industry. Specializing in marketing, visibility, relationship and brand building, and acting as MetalCloak's field marketing representative, I have travelled across the country (quite a few times!) using Metalcloak’s CTI (Corner Travel Index) to educate the off road enthusiast. I have also worked with Jeep Jamboree USA as event staff, to provide additional value and education to its participants. I've been fortunate enough to work with both international as well as domestic media; have attended most of the off-road events across our country; and have driven a wide variety of vehicles. I'm a certified PADI scuba instructor and have a BS in Computer Science.
