Hello Modern Jeepers and welcome to Episode Number 7 of The ModernJeeper Show… the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.

This week we have a true legend in the world of the ModernJeeper… RockCrawling Champion, Ultra4 Racer, and Serial Entrepreneur Larry McRae.

Corey and I get a chance to touch base with an old friend who just doesn’t understand what it means to retire. We talk with Larry about how he started off roading, why his first vehicle mod had only three wheels, how he obtained the best record ever in rock crawling championships, how he wheeled the Hammers on 33’s, why he made the leap to resuscitate Poison Spyder Customs, how to throw a tattoo party, and why retirement means buying another Jeeping business.

Finally we will share with you our TechTip of the Week and get some great advice from Larry on the first questions to ask.

As always, ModernJeeper is extremely grateful to our supporters including Warn Winches, Raceline Wheels, Bestop, Milestar Tires, Rugged Radios and, of course, Metalcloak.

After 23 years of corporate life, I decided to pursue my passions in the off road industry. Specializing in marketing, visibility, relationship and brand building, and acting as MetalCloak's field marketing representative, I have travelled across the country (quite a few times!) using Metalcloak’s CTI (Corner Travel Index) to educate the off road enthusiast. I have also worked with Jeep Jamboree USA as event staff, to provide additional value and education to its participants. I've been fortunate enough to work with both international as well as domestic media; have attended most of the off-road events across our country; and have driven a wide variety of vehicles. I'm a certified PADI scuba instructor and have a BS in Computer Science.
