Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode Number 35 of The ModernJeeper Show… the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers. This week, Mr. ModernJeeper Corey Osborne... The ModernJeeper Show, Ep. 35 – True ModernJeeper’s Jim and Deb of Trail Nut (and they are too!)

Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode Number 35 of The ModernJeeper Show… the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.

This week, Mr. ModernJeeper Corey Osborne & Metalcloak’s Matson Breakey talk about getting ready for the upcoming Off Road Expo in Pomona, why it is the precursor to SEMA, and what new products Metalcloak will be displaying.

Then we are joined by true ModernJeepers Jim and Deb Kriegshauser (@TrailNut). Jim and Deb are not only great friends of ours, but they have attended three ModernJeeper Adventures this year including our Inaugural Tillamook Run. They travel the country with Orange Julius, their 2012 fully built & Equipped Overlander/Rock Crawler and take every opportunity to film and produce some amazing long form videos under the Trail Nut brand. You can see their video footage of our ModernJeeper Adventures on our Facebook Page.

Jim and Deb share with us how they achieved the dream of traveling the country full time with their 45 foot motor coach and Jeep, how the name Trail Nut came about, how they first learned of Metalcloak, Jim shares what to do if your wife always want to drive your Jeep, what it takes to build a rig like Julius,  which of the ModernJeeper Aventures were their favorite, why during the Rubicon Adventure Deb looked like she has rolled in dirt and oil, and how to turn a gift cert for a set of wheels into an excuse to upgrade your whole drivetrain.

And of course we have our Tech Tip of the Week… Jim and Deb, who are true Overlanders, share with us tips about what is truly important when it comes to Overlanding gear, and we discuss the basic survival gear every off roader should have.

You can find helpful links to many of the things we talk about in this episode in the show notes at ModernJeeperShow.com and make sure to check out ModernJeeperAdventures.com for our growing list of upcoming adventures that you hear us talk about.

As always, ModernJeeper is extremely grateful to our supporters including Warn WinchesRaceline WheelsBestopMilestar TiresRugged Radios and, of course, Metalcloak.

After 23 years of corporate life, I decided to pursue my passions in the off road industry. Specializing in marketing, visibility, relationship and brand building, and acting as MetalCloak's field marketing representative, I have travelled across the country (quite a few times!) using Metalcloak’s CTI (Corner Travel Index) to educate the off road enthusiast. I have also worked with Jeep Jamboree USA as event staff, to provide additional value and education to its participants. I've been fortunate enough to work with both international as well as domestic media; have attended most of the off-road events across our country; and have driven a wide variety of vehicles. I'm a certified PADI scuba instructor and have a BS in Computer Science.
