Stellantis? Yep, that’s Jeep’s New Parent Company.

According to Road & Track, the new name of the merged company of FCA and Peugeot parent company PSA is… wait for it…

Stellantis.

Huh?

If you are wondering, like the rest of us, WTF is that? It comes from the latin term “stello” which means, literally, to “cover with stars/points of light”.

The resultant merged company, which will be the world’s fourth largest, is not only expected to save over $4 Billion a year, but allow for massive investment in the development of autonomous and all-electric vehicles.

Guess that is a lot of new “points of light”.

The real question for enthusiasts… in the face of real competition with the release of the Bronco, will Jeep continue to have the resources to develop and expand it’s product line?
