ANNUAL SEMA SHOW SET UP TO ROCK THE JEEP WORLD
The 2018 SEMA Show starts next week, Tuesday October 30th through Friday, November 2nd, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, where more than 70,000 (expected) domestic and international buyers will preview nearly 3000 newly introduced parts, tools and components. ModernJeeper will be there bringing you all the action.
The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. It draws the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition, the SEMA Show provides attendees with educational seminars, product demonstrations, special events, networking opportunities and more.
SEMA is not open to the general public as it is a trade-only event within the automotive aftermarket industry. However, the SEMA aftermarket party is open to the public. You can buy a ticket to Friday night’s SEMA Ignited in the parking lot of the show. To purchase a ticket visit www.semaignited.com
There are several buildings to the show, but the Jeep parts and big jeeps are everywhere in the off-road hall. ModernJeeper will bring you the pics! Oh, and let’s not forget the outside parking lot where races, demos, big displays, tire companies and more will thrill the attendees.
Jeep JL changes up the game…
Some industry in-the-know folks say the real race today is among OEMs to win the attention of consumers who are new to jeeping. With the release of the Jeep JL, MOPAR rolled out more than 200 new Jeep accessories at the 2017 SEMA show, in advance of the official launch of the JL.
However, indications so far are that aftermarket manufacturers are developing and offering incredible upgrades and modifications to the JL with a pretty impressive customer base. Either way, the consumer wins. And the SEMA show is bound to bring more changes, new products and innovative improvements for all jeep brands.
Add in some landuse…
On Monday of show week, the great folks at SEMA will host the annual meeting of the North American Motorized Recreation Council (NAMRC) where dozens of organizational land use leaders come together to plot a better future for trails (and sales). Started in 1996 by founding member and ModernJeeper Del Albright, NAMRC continues to strengthen the jeeping and off-road community. NAMRC is an alliance of organizations that facilitates communications, shares information, expertise and resources to enhance unity. NAMRC helps the organized motorized recreation community and other interested groups become more effective in their efforts to maintain, improve and expand opportunities and experiences in our many forms of recreation. Thank you SEMA. Learn more about NAMRC here.
