Those that know me know that I like my gadgets! But I think I am like most Modern Jeepers when it comes to finding a “place” for my most used electronics!

I’m also a firm believer that NOT ALL my electronics need to be with me ALL the time!

Luckily for us, there are a number of manufacturers that help us out by making high quality, customizable, built in the USA parts! Sometimes these parts seem so simple, yet when you take a deeper look at them, you realize how much time and thought goes in to producing them…and when you consider they are made by real people running machines that cost anywhere from $100,000 to over a $1,000,000…there should be nothing left but appreciation and respect.

I’ve known the folks at CMMOffRoad, also known as Carolina Metal Masters, for a number of years…so long that they truly are part of MY Jeep family…they are my friends…and are respected for every single part they make…truly “Enhancing the Jeep Experience”.

I’ve also used and abused their stuff for a long time! In fact ALL the links on my TJ, “Spike”, are creations of CMM Offroad…all solid, 7075 Aluminum links…the steering is the same…as well as the security nuts that hold my lights on the Jeep…they make good stuff…period!

Remember this MJ Calendar cover from 2 years ago?

Let’s just say I have complete confidence in their products!

So for my LJ build (Golden Spike), I knew exactly who to call! I needed a place for my phone, iPad, gps and whatever other gadget I may need a “third hand” to hold! CMM Offroad’s grab bar is perfect! And I received it with Golden Spike’s logo etched into it as well as two “balls” to attached accessories.

This really is a 15 minutes install…and 5 of that was grabbing the tools…a 10mm socket (go figure) and an Allen wrench….remove the stock handle and replace it with the new. There are instructions on their website…but anyone that can turn a wrench can knock this out in minutes.

Pay attention to the indentations on the stock holes…each one is a different size, so make sure the CMM bar is clocked correctly to match the two sizes.

After unbolting the stock bar, pulling it off, then clocking the new inserts, its simply a matter of tightening up the included hardware that CMM provides…

One thing I noticed with regards to the details CMM takes into consideration…look at their accessory ball…it is actually grooved in order to provide better grip! That’s detail!

I’ve had good luck with and use the Ram Mount accessories for my devices. Their X-grip stuff comes in different sizes and their mounts are strong. PanaVise also make some premium arms, attachments and accessory mounts!

Do yourself a favor and organize your devices! Happy Holidays!

Specializing in marketing, visibility, relationship and brand building, and acting as MetalCloak's field marketing representative, I have travelled across the country (quite a few times!) using Metalcloak’s CTI (Corner Travel Index) to educate the off road enthusiast. I have also worked with Jeep Jamboree USA as event staff, to provide additional value and education to its participants. I've been fortunate enough to work with both international as well as domestic media; have attended most of the off-road events across our country; and have driven a wide variety of vehicles.
