Charlene Bower is a noted off-roader, writer, ModernJeeper, media guru and founder of the Ladies Off Road Network.

This year she committed to taking the Ladies Off Road Trail Training to 75 4WP locations across the country.

Halfway done, Charlene has enjoyed the tour so far. But it’s good to be “home Safe!” According to Charlene they’ve traveled 4,944 Miles, visited 10 states and Canada, over 28 Days, and just completed “14 Awesome Trail Training Classes!”

The East Coast tour is up next and starts soon.

Charlene champions for ladies in the off-road world.  In 2016, Charlene hosted the 1st annual Ladies Co-Driver Challenge. The wildly successful contest had entries from 91 women wheelers across the Country, vying to have an opportunity to go on the road with Charlene to some of the top events in North America utilizing the BFGoodrich Tires Jeep which stemmed the creation of Ladies Offroad Network.

“A Trail Training Class is a 5 hour class filled with exciting and motivating off-road training. This is a great opportunity for drivers and co-drivers of every level, beginner to advanced. Bring your gloves and get ready to work on off-road challenges while having fun! Recovery skills will include How to Use Your Winch, Rig Recovery Techniques and Tools, What is a Pull-Pal, How to Use a Hi-Lift Jack, How to Plug a Tire and How to Change a Tire.

“We will talk about scenarios and safety situations that surround these activities, all with a hands-on focus to accomplish these heavy tasks as a lady.”

Because there aren’t enough weekends in the year – I put myself “on Tour” to get across the country to meet you and teach! Trust me, I do realize weeknights may not be the best, or that I may be asking you to drive a couple hours to the location nearest you…but I’m going to ask you to “Help Me, Help You!” and take the commitment to education with me! 🙂 I have been able to offer this one-time $69 rate because of the way the tour is laid out, weekdays included. I can’t guarantee the price, or that I will be back in your area anytime soon…OR ever again.

This year we will be adding optional HANGOUTS. We will throw out some camp chairs in a fire ring (in the parking lot of the class!), put out some snack (yes! you can bring something to share!), have some drinks (water, lol), and just sit there and chat about offroading! This is an optional time, not part of the class time. Please try – it will be worth the opportunity.

WHY? -> I realized as I did the first tour that I am the lucky one…I get to meet all of YOU. But, I really didn’t get to know you. We experienced the class and laughed together, but that was about it. So I am changing that – we are adding a couple hours where I promise to sit still (yes, I promise) because I really want to know about YOU…or you can ask me any question you want…hmmm, that actually sounds dangerous! This is going to be fun…

Charlene grew up in an off-roading family, enjoying annual trips to Dumont Dunes, the Rubicon and other iconic off-road destinations. Charlene’s first job was changing dirt bike tires at a motorcycle shop in Northern California.  She worked upper retail management at multi-line Powersports dealerships for 11 years and in magazine media for 4 years before founding Bower Motorsports Media in 2009.  In just nine short years she has built a media empire using trending media and communication platforms supplying the backdrop for some of the most successful racers, events and companies in the 4×4 market.
