Four back to back Jeep events might not sound like a big deal, until you consider the distance to the events and the massive size that these events have become! Even the usual simple task of packing for the events requires a ton of coordination and thought.  I mean, those that follow Modern Jeeper and the MetalCloak CTI Trailer know that making trips across the country and preparing for events is pretty routine for me.

It is something that I have prided myself in for a number of years…after all, it is what I do! But this trip would be a bit longer than the usual “tours” across our great country. This trip was going to be over 4 weeks long…31 days on the road to be exact.

Muddy Buddy’s Jeep Jam

This year has continued to be a year of “new to us” events. We are always trying to let fellow Modern Jeepers experience the CTI Trailer while providing as much education and help as we can in the process. So making the 1,500 mile trek to Ohio for this year’s Jeep Jam made perfect sense.

With a bunch of trail rides, vendors and live entertainment, this event has something for everyone. Hosted by Muddy Buddy’s Jeep Wrangler Club out of Dayton, Ohio, this club has given back to it’s local communities by donating to several different charities, and in the last 3 years, they have donated over $44,000! Since 2002, this club has grown from 2 members to over 500! Kudos to Jeep Clubs like this that continue to give back and also help support the Modern Jeeper lifestyle!

WindRock Park

With the first event of this Tour in the books, it was time to head south through Kentucky and into Tennessee to prepare for the Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion! With everything cleaned up and no maintenance issues to attend to, we had an extra day to check out one of the biggest Off-Road parks that we knew of and had never been to…WindRock! With over 70,000 acres of land to explore, we knew we would only be scratching the surface of this enormous place.

And, as it turned out, we had some friends heading to the park to do some filming…our timing couldn’t have been better! So, with a group of Jeepers also headed to Pigeon Forge later in the week, we got to spend a day hitting up a couple of the Jeep Badge of Honor Trails while spending time with some great people! A shout out to Revma Media for inviting us to tag along!

Even just spending a day at WindRock Park was awesome. We can’t wait to go back and spend more time exploring this amazing place!

The Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion

More cleanup and some more driving were the order of the day as we headed into Pigeon Forge. If you have not ever been to the GSMJI, it really needs to be on your short list! Here is some video from 2018…and this year was even bigger…if you can imagine that!

We even got the coordinator of the event to call in and share some of his time with us on the MJ Podcast Here. There are many more images in the Gallery as well. Such an amazing, crazy, busy, cool event!!

Stay tuned for Part 2 where we we head to Sheriff’s JeepFest, make a stop at Clemson 4Wheel and join the Coal Pit Crusade! We will also share the recap video of the entire month long, 5200 mile experience!

After 23 years of corporate life, I decided to pursue my passions in the off road industry. Specializing in marketing, visibility, relationship and brand building, and acting as MetalCloak's field marketing representative, I have travelled across the country (quite a few times!) using Metalcloak’s CTI (Corner Travel Index) to educate the off road enthusiast. I have also worked with Jeep Jamboree USA as event staff, to provide additional value and education to its participants. I've been fortunate enough to work with both international as well as domestic media; have attended most of the off-road events across our country; and have driven a wide variety of vehicles. I'm a certified PADI scuba instructor and have a BS in Computer Science.
