We all know that when you leave a bunch of engineers together in a room for very long you could end up with one of two things:

Very complicated solutions to simple problems and/or
Very thorough solutions to complex problems.

While the single sided swing out tire carrier that Metalcloak built and sold for many years was very capable and a good solution, they knew it could be better. And to be honest they didn’t like what they had originally designed, even though it solved the problem.

I will be the first to admit that while I wasn’t a fan of the single side swing out carrier, but it worked…and when adjusted properly it worked amazingly well. But keeping it adjusted took some time…and patients…but when property adjusted this thing was one of the most robust and capable tire carriers on the market.

So why the change? Because the engineering team at Metalcloak knew it could be better. While other companies had already embraced the “4 contact points” for a truly super strong tire carrier, Metalcloak reached into their arsenal of unique and robust joints that would not succumb to the failures of other companies contact points. Add in the adjustability of the 4 “contact points” and give users a plethora of optional positions and mounting points makes this carrier far superior to any of its competitors.

Oh by the way, this thing will also accommodate RotoPax mounts, etc., in between the carrier and the body! And their new rear bumper plate with attachment points has lines that we used to only imagine!
