GIANT BUGS, MONSTERS AND CRITTERS AWAIT YOUR JEEP

Deep in the heart of Southern California desert exists a wonderland of metal sculptures. Outside of the Anza-Borrego Springs area lies Galleta Meadows, where you can find hundreds of these unique sculptures.

I found a massive dragon, a scorpion, a camel, elephants, raptors, and even a Jeep! These incredible sculptures were crafted by the talented Ricardo Breceda. Each sculpture has such intricate details and were thought out very well. The sea dragon is so big it actually stretches across to the other side of the road!

One awesome thing about this place is that you drive up to each statue. So that means you’ll get some pretty epic pictures with your Jeep too. Some of these sculptures are over 20 feet tall! They tower over the desert landscape and are hard to miss.

There are tons of statues all over the area to find. I definitely had a lot of fun exploring. As I pulled up to one of the statues, one guy got really excited about my Jeep. He turned out to be a fellow Jeeper back in the day, who was currently there showing his grandkids this cool place. He pulled out a photo album from the trunk of his car and showed me how he came here years ago in his Wrangler and Jeeped some impressive trails!!! This story I will remember for ever, and it was all brought to you by a Jeep. Crazy right? You gotta love the Jeep community.
