Rock Junction & Rocky Mountain Offroad Expo @ Area 21 in Fruita CO
May 30 – Jun 2 all-day

Rock Junction is a multi-day event where participants drive their own 4WD vehicle on family-friendly group trail rides. Trail rides range from mild and scenic to extreme rock crawling. Each evening features a BBQ hosted by the Grand Mesa Jeep Club.

The Rocky Mountain Offroad Expo is an outdoor display of all types of off-highway vehicles and product vendors. It is also a great place to buy, sell or trade your old 4×4 stuff…or buy new stuff! This is a unique event that anyone can attend for free and is family friendly. Do you have off-road vehicle related stuff collecting dust on your shelves? Bring it to the swap meet portion of the Expo and sell it!

Jupiter at Opposition
Jun 10 all-day

The giant planet will be at its closest approach to Earth and its face will be fully illuminated by the Sun. It will be brighter than any other time of the year and will be visible all night long. This is the best time to view and photograph Jupiter and its moons. A medium-sized telescope should be able to show you some of the details in Jupiter’s cloud bands. A good pair of binoculars should allow you to see Jupiter’s four largest moons, appearing as bright dots on either side of the planet
