Jeeps are cool, but have you seen these Cadillacs? As you head into the city of Amarillo, Texas, you may pass by this fun tourist trap. Back in 1974, ten Cadillacs were placed in the ground nose-side down to represent the Golden Age of the Automobile and show off the evolving tail fins. As time went on, it transformed into an art exhibit where layers and layers of spray paint are added to the cars, constantly changing their appearance.
People from all over the world stop by this cool place and literally leave their mark. It’s so awesome seeing everyone’s reactions as they walk up to this odd attraction. People of all ages and even from different countries come to see this place. The cool part is that anyone can come and spray paint the cars as long as you stay respectful and clean up your trash when you leave.
Every time you stop by, you’re likely going to see something new. When I visited, there was a steady stream of people coming and going to add new art and tags as they passed by. If you’re near Amarillo, pull off the side of Highway 40/Historic Route 66 and check it out!
