Welcome to the 8th annual Jeep N Greet Event!
WHO: Everyone is welcome! Just to clarify, we do NOT exclude anyone from attending based on your questionable vehicle choices. If you have an off-road capable vehicle then we encourage you to come! Bring the whole family as this is a family friendly event!
WHAT: A laid back, no pressure, sand-wheeling event for people to meet up and have some fun! We have a potluck BBQ and group photo, s’mores cookouts, raffles, and casual gatherings for your enjoyment. Most group runs are not scheduled (other than general morning, afternoon, and evening runs but no set times), rather you see someone going out – join them! The point of the event is to meet people and have fun!
WHEN: Stop by anytime from Thursday May 18th to Sunday May 21st. Group picture, 12pm to 1pm Saturday (this takes awhile to coordinate, please be patient). Potluck BBQ 4pm-ish Saturday followed by the raffle.
WHERE: At Siltcoos Sand Camp, Site 24, you will find the J&G Booth (Jennifer & Jesse). It’s at the end of the access road from the Driftwood 2 Campground, on the right. It is also near where we will be doing the group picture, just like last year.
* Also – Driftwood 2 Campground, Sites 66 & 67 (Terry).
** Starting from Hwy 126 in Florence, Oregon, travel about 7.8 miles South on Highway 101 to the Siltcoos Beach Access Road. Turn right (West) onto the Siltcoos Beach Access Road and proceed 1.3 miles to the Driftwood II Campground entrance. Turn right (North) onto the access road and continue straight to reach the sand. You will notice Driftwood 2 Campground on the right, pop in (following the one way arrows) and say “Hi” to Chaos Coordinator Terry in sites 66 & 67, air down your tires to 10-15lbs depending on your tires, then continue down the sandy access road. Once you get to the end of the sand road, keep following to the right where you will see the flats and the official J&G Booth and Chaos Coordinator Jennifer on the right at the edge of the flats.
*** All event activities, raffles, meetings, merch & raffle tickets pickup, etc. will be done out of the Sand-Camp-“Booth” by the southernmost flats. We will also do the group photo on the flats near the booth, just to keep things streamlined for you guys so you have more time to enjoy the sandy playground!
WHY: For Fun! We started this event to bring people together without any special requirement, fees, dues, club affiliations, etc. Just good old fashioned meet up and hanging out, doing what we all love, wheeling! So, let the adventures begin! Hope to see you there!
