This new design can hold up to 43.5 liters and accommodates standard Riesling bottles upright, making the CFF 45 the perfect traveling companion. Don’t travel alone? That’s fine. This smart design allows families to choose between running it as a fridge or a freezer, removing all boundaries when it comes to deciding what to pack for dinner.

Dometic has designed the CFF 45 so that it contains the most efficient interior storage layout, along with a double sided opening lid, allowing access from either side.

Smart design; appealing appearance, and efficient interior storage

Adventurers will love the new glass filled nylon and steel handles, making for a comfortable and reliable use first time, every time.

The footprint has been optimized for compatibility with the CFX series fridge slide for added installation convenience. It also comes decked out with a complete interior wrap evaporator, providing fast and excellent cooling or freezing – even with extremely high temperatures outside.

The CFF 45 is equipped with a digital electronic control system responsible for monitoring its interior, which is capable of cooling to as low as -18°C. This is complemented by substantial insulation drawing only moderate power from the battery, making this portable fridge or freezer a great choice for those living mobile.

Whether you are a solo adventure or a couple going out on a weekend get-away, or a family on an overland journey, there is a Dometic powered cooler option for you that will keep drinks cold and food fresh wherever you go.

An overlander’s dream

TECH NOTE:

How long will my refrigerator keep running for on my battery?

Although this is a frequently asked question, it is not particularly relevant in this day and age since modern portable/mobile refrigerators from most of the manufacturers contain electronics that will not allow the unit to deplete a battery beyond certain voltages.  Each manufacturer states the particulars in their owners manual.  These fridges will no longer just run until the battery is dead…they will turn off first.

If you would like to do the numbers, you need to ascertain how much power your refrigerator will consume on average per hour under certain ambient conditions. You also need to know the size of your battery in amp-hours. Once you know these figures, you can divide the size of the battery by that average consumption figure (multiplied by 24 hours) to give you approximate run time. e.g. If the stated consumption is 1 amp per hour average, multiply that by 24 hours. (equals 24 Amp hours per day). You should understand that you never get the full amount of amp-hours from a battery however. You should use 80% as a good rule of thumb. So if you have a 100 Amp hour deep cycle battery, you can assume 80 amp-hours of usable power. So if a refrigerator consumes on average 1 amp per hour, and is the only appliance running from a 100 amp-hour battery, you should be able to have the refrigerator run for around 80 hours before recharging becomes necessary.
