Daystar adds MCE to Roster of Companies

Daystar Products International, the Arizona-based manufacturer of primarily polyurethane products that include everything from the popular D-ring isolators to suspension leveling kits has announced the acquisition of Modern Classic Enterprises, the manufacturer of aftermarket plastic flares for Jeep Wranglers.

According to Daystar’s CEO Mark Turner, the acquisition gives MCE access to “resources to pump up service levels, manage stellar growth, and make it easier for consumers to outfit their YJ, TJ, or JK Wrangler with MCE’s” fenders.

MCE has been a popular alternative to the more custom aftermarket steel and aluminum fenders from companies like Metalcloak and Crawler Concepts. The company was the vision of Jason Robson and Mike Waclawski and fast became a leader in the plastic flare market once dominated by companies like Bushwacker and Rugged Ridge.

This is the latest in a line of acquisitions from Daystar that has included companies like Voodoo Off Road Recovery Gear and BumperSuperstore.com.
