[catie’s corner] [pics] Hitting the Jeep Trails at Big Bear!

During my time in exploring the west coast, I got the chance to offroad in Big Bear Lake, California. This area is Jeep central and known for some seriously fun trails.
I met up with an awesome group of Jeepers to hit a few trails, including Gold Mountain, which is one of the Jeep Badge of Honor trails. This was a super fun trail to flex out and enjoy the scenic views Cali has to offer.
There are a variety of trails ranging in difficulty throughout the mountain. Some of the other trails in the area worth noting are John Bull, Holcomb Creek, and the Squeeze.
I loved how capable my 3.5″ Metalcloak lift was on the trails. My trusty BFG’s handled well too. If you’re in the market for a lift, I highly recommend Metalcloak and the Rocksport Shocks. I did a ton of research before biting the bullet and nothing compares to the quality and service Metalcloak has to offer.
After a long day on the trails, head back towards Big Bear Lake to grab a bite to eat or rest up for the night. The mountain town also has a lot of fun recreational activities to offer during any season. Between the lake, mountains, and camping, you’re sure to have lots of things to do. Big Bear Lake even hosts a big Oktoberfest every fall!
If you’re in the SoCal area, I highly recommend checking out Big Bear Lake. You can’t go wrong! Once you get into town, you’ll see all the Jeeps. Just follow them to the trails 🙂
