Easter marks the traditional end of the Annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah… a week of incredible wheeling with enthusiasts from all around the world.

This year had a different tone to it as all the manufacturers from Artec to Metalcloak had their new JL Wranglers on display with just released products.

But, this year may just go down in history as one that FCA would rather forget.

According to anonymous sources close to the Jeep brand, several manufacturers experienced a high level of failure while on the iconic trails of Moab, Utah.

The most common reported failure… the Jeep’s core.

Initially FCA just blamed it on modifications made by overzealous manufacturers who didn’t know “what the heck they were doing.” But, when it reportedly happened to one of their star concept Jeeps, well, their apparently was a little Easter Egg on their face.

All of this resulted in an announcement today that FCA would be halting production of those JL Wranglers known to have core issues.

According to a spokes person, who was attending their annual Bunny Hop in Toledo, Ohio (an event where senior Jeep brand executives hop around like rabbits while the orphan children invited to the event throw jelly beans at them) — “FCA is looking very closely into the development of a team to delve into the issue and determine how to approach the problem that has yet to be identified and once located shall form the team to analyze and calculate the direction that shall require the issuing of an order to study the halting of production on any models the committee determines to be of the right model that is required to further study with the end goal of avoiding any danger or harm to be found in the sales of JL Wranglers to the general public, if and when that happens.”
