MODERNJEEPER CONTRIBUTOR AND SUPPORTER DON AMADOR APPOINTED TO CALIFORNIA RAC

Noted advocate and ModernJeeper contributor Don Amador was appointed to the Central California Resource Advisory Council (RAC) on February 28, 2019 by Acting Secretary of the Interior, David Bernhardt.

Don will represent all off-highway (OHV) recreation in the RAC

Career land use advocate, Don Amador who loves motors of any type!

Don will serve a 3-year term representing off-highway vehicle users for all of central California. This is a huge turning point for Don and a serious acknowledgement of his accomplishments in motorized recreation.

Resource Advisory Councils are composed of citizens from diverse backgrounds who share an interest in public lands. Although the Councils are solely advisory in nature, the contributions of Council members are of great value to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and have aided in the development of balanced decisions that serve the interests of all public land users.

“I am deeply honored to serve on the RAC and further our interests in off-highway vehicle management and use,” said Amador. “As a past California OHV Commissioner, I fully understand the value of having a seat at the table when decisions about motorized recreation are made.”

Chainsaw Certified by the feds, Don gets his hands dirty

Don has testified in front of Congress on more than one occasion, advocating for responsible motorized recreation management. This RAC appointment will take his voice to a new level.

With nearly 30 years of land use experience in all aspects of motorized recreation, from 4×4 to dirt bikes to dual sport “adventure” bikes to side-by-sides and to sand dune fun, Don Amador brings a wealth of knowledge to the decision-making process with BLM in California.

All of us at ModernJeeper tip our hats to Don, knowing full well that our voices will be heard.  Congrats to our friend.
