When its cold outside and we regress into our homes…if you are like me…we look for projects to keep our minds busy. Granted, I live in an amazing place on the western slope of Colorado, but I have never really been a “winter sport” kind of guy. So when the opportunity comes to spend a few days inside the house, making things more “appealing”….or what I call “it’s my house and I’ll make it like I want…”, I take advantage of the opportunity.

I’ve been collecting bandannas for a long time…like after they were biker cool but before they were cool in general 🙂 Over the years, a number of companies started printing cool stuff on bandannas, like survival skills, maps and how to techniques to use outdoors. What a great idea! So over the years I would buy one that I thought was interesting…either from a park ranger station or gift shop, etc…

It turns out, if you look, there are a ton of printed bandannas out there! So, I decided that some of my bandannas deserved display…which took me to Hobby Lobby in search of ideas, which lead me to the idea of framing them! Perfect! There are a variety of sizes of bandannas, but most fall into the 24″ x 24″ category, so sometimes creativity is needed. Sometimes the frame itself is enough….but sometimes you need to add a bit of creativeness (a mat)!

What started out as some folded pieces of fabric has become wall art in my home, and each time I walk by one of them, I remember the place and stop and look at the map as a refresher to the place that it represents!

Specializing in marketing, visibility, relationship and brand building, and acting as MetalCloak's field marketing representative, I have travelled across the country (quite a few times!) using Metalcloak’s CTI (Corner Travel Index) to educate the off road enthusiast. I have also worked with Jeep Jamboree USA as event staff, to provide additional value and education to its participants. I've been fortunate enough to work with both international as well as domestic media; have attended most of the off-road events across our country; and have driven a wide variety of vehicles.
