Louisville, KY – June 8th, 2015 – 166,000 sq. ft. indoors, 5 acres outdoors and 3 days of race action – with over 13,120 visitors and almost 200 exhibitors the UOR Expo 2015 has exceeded the industry’s expectations by far. The City of Louisville, the Kentucky Exposition Center and even the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department have been great supporters with their efforts to host the community of 4×4 enthusiasts from all over the country.

Marketing and last year’s success had great impact on the number of new visitors, just as much as the re-designed obstacle course that was opened to public “wheeling” for the weekend.

President Erin Freeman mentioned the growth of professional attendees and their interest in the over 25,000 products on display. Dealerships, retailers and shops used the opportunity to connect to manufacturers in person, to compare technologies and to initiate new business relationships.

This is a big step for the UOR Expo and its efforts to create an industry hub of domestic magnitude. The Expo’s mission is to grow the market, represent the sport, create educational and career opportunities, and to support innovation, creativity and craftsmanship in the industry. The race vehicles covered with wrap tape from Fleet Wrap HQ performed an exciting shows for truck, Jeep, buggy and UTV friends. The first ever 5-vehicle-parallel back flip was performed on Saturday.

Friday night ended with the Cavern & Tavern Charity Night Crawl.

Over 1,800 4×4 vehicles started at the expo center to roll into the Louisville Mega Cavern and from here down to Bardstown Road and back. It was an unique event combined with charity raffles generated $8,000+ for the Kosair Charities. The positive feedback and interest in 2016 hints to the idea the next year’s expo will be even bigger. New date is June 3 – 5, 2016 with a slightly different format.

After 23 years of corporate life, I decided to pursue my passions in the off road industry. Specializing in marketing, visibility, relationship and brand building, and acting as MetalCloak's field marketing representative, I have travelled across the country (quite a few times!) using Metalcloak’s CTI (Corner Travel Index) to educate the off road enthusiast. I have also worked with Jeep Jamboree USA as event staff, to provide additional value and education to its participants. I've been fortunate enough to work with both international as well as domestic media; have attended most of the off-road events across our country; and have driven a wide variety of vehicles. I'm a certified PADI scuba instructor and have a BS in Computer Science.
