According to a report on Fox News the JK Wrangler may finally have a termination date: April 7.
While Jeep just released the next generation Jeep Wrangler JL, you can still get JK Wranglers on the lots of most dealerships.
Some dealers have told us that they can no longer order the JK, even though it is reportedly still in production in Toledo, Ohio.
According to the report, a WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notice was put out by Hyundai Mobis, the company that supplies the JK Wrangler frame. The notice, which is required by federal law, stated that 572 employees would be laid off on April 7 as production ceases at their Ohio factory where the frames are made.
Speculation abounds that the factory will re-tool for production of the the JT Wrangler Truck (dubbed the Scrambler) which is set to debut in 2019.
